is an independent,
non-profit organization, whose mission is to produce telecommunications standards
for today and for the future.
Continuing with the works that the ECBF, and not others, has started several years ago, inside of the ETSI, one document that, been real, it has demonstrated that it is satisfactory for the technicians, users and Administration, and it shows what we have defended for many years: “The CB does not interfere, “per se””.
Finished this step, the definitive document has been send to the FM38, CEPT’s committee, for
discussion. Been included in the agenda of the meeting for September 4th, celebrated in headquarter Estonian
telecommunication administration in Tallinn.
The proposal counted, in origin, with the support of the Spanish Government, who by the impossibility of attending, sent a document confirming the kindness of the report, for what contributed the best of the tests: The use in Spain of the studied powers, during more than 15 years, without significant and intrinsic problems of the CB.
The FM38, after the presentation and clarifying the consultations of some of its members,
approved to send to the superior committee, of the document prepared for ETSI, of proposal of
the ECBF, that demonstrates that, the CB, transmitting with 4 and 12 watts PEP is not the origin
of interferences in other services of telecommunications:
The correct installation of all the communication services, the CB and the rest, is the best
guarantee and standard for the inexistence of interferences in none of them.
In this old fight, in many Administrations have used the interference to argue about their
position against our hobby; the ECBF’s insistence has been able to disassemble those arguments,
technically.
The job hasn’t been finished yet.
Now starts, in a new stage, not for it easier, at the opposite, harder, since in front of the
technique’s reason we will confront with the politics opposition.
A new path to promote, inside the CEPT, the decisions that take us to get our purposes: an only
standard with 4W AM and 12 W PEP in BLU.
We are hoping to have, in the new stage, the same success and support as the previous one.
